The Privacy Policy explains when and what information we (The Site and Wix) gather from you (the customer) and what we do with it.

 

The information we gather

As soon as a customer views The Site (www.thebakingsaffa.co.uk), the viewers IP address and time zone is recorded for analytic purposes.

 

When the customer places an item in the cart, adds all their personal information such as name, address, phone number and payment details but does not complete the order, an “abandoned cart” process is started. An email will be sent to the email address that was left in the order process about their items that are still available in the cart.

 

If a customer completes an order on The Site, information that is gathered are their name, address, email address, phone number, IP address, time zone and payment details. This is all needed to successfully fulfil their order from The Site. The Site administration run via Wix will automatically create a customer profile where it stores all information together on each customer so that The Site administrator can look back to see what each customer has ordered in the past.

Contact forms

If you choose to fill out an order form, this form will be emailed directly to thebakingsaffa@hotmail.com and The Site administrator will reply as soon as possible.

 

What do we do with your information?

Only information stored in your automatically generated profile will be used to:

1) communicate with you,

2) screen orders for potential fraud or risk,

3) only when accepted by the customer, provide information such as advertising and new products available. (e.g. a new flavour of Hertzoggies is available).

 

Child privacy

The Site (www.thebakingsaffa.co.uk) is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any information on this website.

 

Future Changes

The Site holds the right to change its policies from time to time. In this case, it will be clearly marked on this Privacy Policy page in bold. Please keep checking back to this page to see any new changes.

 

Request a copy of your information or deletion

If you are a European resident, you have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, have it altered or deleted. If you would like to request a copy of your information held on The Site or request it to be deleted, please email thebakingsaffa@hotmail.com.

Please be aware that The Site administrator will ask to see a copy of your identification to prevent providing personal information to the wrong person. After that is confirmed, you will need to provide your phone number and/or email address as saved on The Site to be able to request a copy or deletion of information. This will take up to 7 days to complete.
